    Default newbie questions

Apparently I need a laser jammer since I got popped today going 80 in a 65. My 8500 x50 didnt even go off and I have no clue where the cop was at. He pulled in behind me as I was getting out of my car. I'm looking at the Laser Interceptor but was wondering if mounting on a bmw 3 series would hinder it's performance. I guess the best option is vertically in the grill slats as far out as possible?

There are several different pictures and threads of BMW 3 and 5 series installs here on the thread. I've personally tested 3 vertical and 6 horizontal BMW installs ranging from Blinder M25 to LPP to LI. Installed correctly, you'll be reasonably protected with a Blinder dual system, Zr3/4, or LI. Check the Laser Jammer FAQs in the stickies portion of this forum. "Most" of that stuff is fairly accurate.

I found two 3 series installs on here...one was horizontal behind the grill slats and the other was vertical between them. You can't exactly use the forum search to look for bmw since its less than 4 letters. I had some luck doing an advanced search in google, but not much.

    I searched 3-series.
Came up with 2 in this thread:

    1 in this one:

Leederek's latest install on his M3 in the link below:

Some of those links may even have videos. Searching tip, for BMWs search for the model of the car or class. 3-series, 5-series, 335i, 335xi, etc.

There is no need to use the search function in either the "Advice on Placement" or "Show Off Your Install" sections. All threads in each section are clearly marked with the product and car type. All you have to do is scan down the list of threads to find what you want.

Even better. I looked around the forum a bit but hadn't noticed either of those sections.
