Here is a question for those who may know how the laws regarding jammers is applied, particularly in Canadian Provinces. I live in Alberta, my jammer is legal and so is my V1. I am driving to a town in Ontario. Radar detectors and jammers are illegal in Manitoba and Ontario. My gut says to not use my V1 (hides a bit, but not 100% from RDD) and turn off the Jammer. But I have heard horror stories about people getting impounded because they had not-in-use-Jammers installed that the RCMP could not remove, for obvious reasons. So they impound the car citing provincial law that’s its illegal to operate a motor vehicle with such a device installed...in use or not. Could they do that if my car is out of province? I don't require front plates in Alberta and they do in Ontario but they can't impound my car for violating plate laws...anyone know what the RCMP are doing about jammers on cars where the registered province allows them but the car is in a province in which they are illegal? I plan on not using the V1 and turning off the jammer. But the horror story I saw posted was a guy waved over for vehicle inspections along with everyone else (they do that in Ontario apparently). Guy was from BC, in Ontario, jammers off, no RD and the RCMP impounded him.
