I just got a Jaguar XF Supercharged, so countermeasures seem mandatory. Just got the LI box in the mail, and things look pretty simple. I've installed several full audio systems (speakers, amps, head unit, steering wheel CANBus interface, etc.), so I'm generally pretty handy with this sort of thing, but of course there are some new issues with something like this. Not the least of which is location of the sensors.
For the rear, the location seems obvious - between the rear fog lights, under the "chrome" plate that says "JAGUAR". The front is more challenging. I would love not to have to mess with the (faux) wire grill - the black sensors are going to stand out there. Is mounting at the top corners of the lower black mesh grill, just below the parking sensors, an option that will work? That would be almost 14 inches off the ground, and less than 10 inches below the bottoms of the headlight enclosures. It's hard to imagine that this wouldn't work against a shooter who is hundreds and maybe thousands of feet down the road, but you guys are the experts - what do you think?
One more - don't suppose any of you know the easiest way to access ignition 12v in this Jag? I'll find it eventually, but would like not to break anything on the way!
Thanks in advance!
