    Default Laser Mask LCM-1?

-I have been looking for a budget jammer for a little while now, and came across the Laser Mask LCM-1.
-Not a huge speeder, but looking for a little laser protection from CHP on highways. I drive a small 2005 Ford ranger, with black bumpers and white body/license plate.

-I was previously considering the ZR-3 laser jammer, but this seems to be cheaper and perform much better in the GOL test.

-How does the laser mask perform in your opinion/real world?

    Thanks so much!

    here are GOL results

it depends how big your car is also.

search around the forums, a lot of people don't put much faith in ZR 3 shifters.

if your on a budget.. go for blinder m27. they'll provide excellent coverage

The only experience I have testing the Laser Mask is epic failure on a small black car with Veil, and a black motorcycle with Veil. It doesn't get much worse than that at any price.

Yea I don't see anything that looks even decent about those test results.

Looks like a waste of money to me.

For the price of the Laser mas kI would only go with the LCM-2 with four heads up front.

I was planning to do a test of the Laser Mask on my full size pick-up truck with chrome front end but I ran out of money and my laser gun needs to be repaired

-Sorry about the link, newb error.-

From the GOL test, it seems to perform decently. Again, I'm not looking for LI performance and can't even get close to buying something that expensive at this time. I'm just looking for something that will provide me with moderate highway protection.
I assume i could get this protection by buying the laser mask, and buying VEIL for the headlights and a cover for my front license plate.
Would the Laser Mask be a better choice then the Escort Zr-3? Its cheaper. However, i've heard that it doesnt include a shut off switch, which could be an issue since i'm in CA.

Picture of my smallish car- But it has a Front Plate of course.

There is no such thing. Protection is like pregnancy. It either is, or it isn't. There is no moderation.

You assume wrong. As already posted, a SMALL BLACK CAR, which was TOTALLY VEILED and equipped with a Laser Mask, was easily picked off at long distances by every gun.

Would the Laser Mask be a better choice then the Escort Zr-3?
The same small black, Veiled car was tested with a ZR-3, and achieved similar FAIL.

There are only three capable jammers currently made, and only two of them are worth considering for the price. You're either going to pay for protection, or you're going to pay for a false sense of security and a ticket. The choice is yours, but that's all we can tell you.

You make some excellent points, maybe its not worth going cheap in the end. The Laser mask isn't well reviewed or well known as well. By the time i buy VEIL, LaserMask, and all these other products, i could buy a blinder. I also could buy a cheaper radar detector to make up for the price i guess.(8500 instead of 9500)

I noticed that i could get the Blinder M27 for around $430 after a coupon i have.

Would this offer much better protection, and could i go without the VEIL? Which Blinder is tested in the GOL test?

Thanks for all your help, i appreciate it.

I have a F-150 with a black grille and Veiled headlights with the M27. I have no fears about lidar with it.

I am positive the M27 would protect your vehicle, the other 2 you mentioned, try throwing them at the lidar gun as you pass. maybe you can hot it and break it so he can't use the reading against you!!!
