The 2005 Civic is (or maybe was) on my short list for my next car. I figured that a custom grille with holes in the right places would amount to near perfect head placement up front. Also, the area by the license plate on the back would allow me to mount the rear heads using the same bracket I made for my 02 Celica.
I also like that car for other reasons (fuel economy, reputation for reliability, personal taste, etc). But I may take it off of my short list if everyone thinks the headlights are a no go for my jammers.
recent discussions here about off access shots have me second guessing whether that is a good choice. I was considering veiling the headlights (and removing any fog lights), then installing two of my M47 heads in the upper grille.
Would this be adequate protection in real world use?
Are there other steps besides Veil (or switching to LI) that would make this a reliable setup?
Is it maybe a better Idea to look for a different car?
