    Default Laser Jammer Legality

    Ok so I am in an awkward position. I have both the car and the money to purchase a laser interceptor. My problem is that I live in Minnesota where laser jammers are illegal. The question I have is has anyone on this forum who owns a jammer in an illegal state ever gotten hassled ticketed or stopped for jamming and or possessing laser jammers. I really would like them but 600 bucks is tough to justify for using them only three or four times per year on road trips.

    Meh;

    Subd. 12. Radar jammer. For purposes of this section, "radar jammer" means any instrument, device, or equipment designed or intended for use with a vehicle or otherwise to jam or interfere in any manner with a speed-measuring device operated by a peace officer.

    I believe the Laser Interceptor is designed for or intended to be a parking sensor, says so in the manual

    The real question is what the penalty is, if it's like California it's just a slap on the wrist fix it ticket with 0 points, if it's like Colorado it's a misdemeanor and they can confiscate your equipment. It's all about risk vs. reward.
