Default Can you Run 2 Diff Jammers?

I know 2 RD's will cause interference but how about 2 different jammer systems. Say for example you have the 9500ci which comes with ZR4 but you also want to slap on some LI Duals - and the heads would be installed away from each other, both symmetric but say the LI's in main grill and ZR4s in the lower grills...

You'll get punchthroughs, plus the jammers may "feed" one another and get stuck in an infinite-jamming loop until you kill one of them. You also greatly increase the chances of getting jam codes on guns that have them.

The main reason you'll get punchthroughs is because each jammer is going to see the other jammer's reflected pulses, which will trip up the jamming algorithm and make it not work properly in jamming the gun.

With your setup, set the 9500ci ZR4s in "receive-only" mode and use the LI for jamming duty.

If I'm passing you on the right, YOU are in the wrong lane!

If speed kills, how come I'm still alive?

Thank you for the explanation. "Receive-only" because you want them OFF in general, or is there a benefit to see to have them in that mode, ie the LI is doing the jamming but the ZR4s will notify you if the LEO is still targeting you? Because if not, I'd rather just stick with 1 set of jammers and remove any unnecessary clutter...

The ZR4 heads are VERY sensitive to laser (much like a V1) and you can get advance warning from scatter up ahead if you're lucky, allowing you to shed speed even before you're targeted. So it's good to have them hooked up but in receive-only mode. Plus you'll know if you continue to be targeted after you shut the LI off.

Plus, I think the 9500ci throws an error code if the heads aren't connected? I'm not sure of this though. I suppose you could keep the heads hooked up but not actually mounted (just wrap & zip-tie the wires and secure them somewhere safe) if you like. You won't get any laser warning from the 9500ci at all in this case.

Do you have the 9500ci already? If not, consider getting the Beltronics STi-R Plus instead; it's basically the same as the 9500ci but you can get it without the ZR4 heads (thus, you save some $) plus it adds features like RDR on/off and Ka band segmentation. Radarbusters has them on sale too, for a limited time.

Running 2 jammers at the same time will cause problems. Just uninstall the make believe 'ZR4 laser shifters' and install the LI Dual in their place. You'll be fine. I think when the 9500ci starts up it will just say laser shifters not detected or something along those lines.

You could also move the shifters to the rear which would be better than spending all that money and not using them

Correct, only upon start up will the radar display shifter error, but nothing after that.

I just did some preliminary testing of running LI's and ZR4 on at the same time, not bad IMO. But i will need to do more testing to see if there are any issues. So far they seem to work better together.

    FF to .45 after announcement.

I have installed two systems and would like to test them both. Does anyone know where I could test them in BC or Northern Washington?
