When I watch LJ videos, a lot of folks have gotten the JTK maneuver down pat, often killing the jammers in <2 seconds.
Since I seem to get lasered about once every 2 years these days, I don't get any chances to practice. Therefore, I'll probably JTG by the time I figure out what's happening and reach for the switch.
So what do you guys do to prepare for the heat of the moment? Do you sometimes "pretend" you're being shot and you slow down and kill the jammers? Do you have someone shoot you? Or do you get lasered often enough that you've had plenty of practice? Or do you use radar encounters as practice runs, pretending they're laser hits, killing the jammers after slowing down?
I think when we have jammer meets, that taking some time to do JTK practice runs is a neat idea, especially for those who don't get shot often.
