Default Any one using the Laser Interceptor High Power unit?

I am looking to purchase a Laser Interceptor and wondering if the HP is worth the extra money?

Cliff at Laser Interceptors has been great giving me information, but I am one of those guys who likes technology and will get bleeding edge like a cellphone but this one may be not.

HP's are mean't for larger vehicles like trucks, vans, big SUVS...etc. If you have a regular car or small truck, an HP is not necessary. They provide more power for larger vehicles because the heads tend to be farther apart, thus making bigger cars harder to protect. Having an HP on a regular car is a waste of money because you simply, don't need it. I've seen Ford F-150's with regular LI duals and still get JTG. It's all about placement and proper installation.

    Best of luck.

Another benny to the HP heads is one diode is installed perpendicular to the other, meaning you'll get better coverage in a vertical installation than with non-HP heads. So if you need to mount the heads vertically instead of horizontally, HP heads will work better in that application as well.

Thanks everyone I appreciate the input. I purchased the dual standard sensors. I will look to purchase 2 more for rear protection in a couple months instead. I haven't really noticed any LEO shooting at the rear of cars her in GA. But I travel a lot so might be a good idea.

i have an li quad installed with hp heads in the front and regular heads in the rear. The reason went with the hps up front was that the front heads are vertically mounted. 08 m3 doesn't leave a lot of alternatives.
