Default What are the chances of this rear install jamming??

    BMW-Rear.jpg

I come across this photo and thought I would share, I was quite amused - what are the chances of this one ALG9 sensor jamming anything mounted so low on this 3 Series BMW??

Two low for a rear install and too obstructed for a front install to work properly

You have a better chance of winning the lotto than jamming in the rear with that install

It is not the best location for a jammer, but it will work as long as the lasergun isn't too close to the car. (<450ft). The further away the gun, the less important becomes the mounting location of the jammer(s).
A friend of mine used to have a single jammer (LPP) mounted under! his trailer hook. It worked a lot better than I ever expected...........

Depends, I used to have a car in which the distances of the grid in the front of the car were perfect. I mounted the LI's behind that grid, but none of the lasers or receivers of the LI's were obscured. It was a very good and stealthy setup.

There is information online that calculates the beam spread, so you can see if your jammer's beam is being obstructed. With the Osram SPL PL90 3 laser diode using is 11 (+/- 5.5) degrees vertical & 25 (+/- 12.5) degrees horizontal. Problem will be laser detection when the gun is slightly off axis you may not transmit your jam signal.
