Default Ultralyte mystery solved! 100 pps vs 125 pps

Through my industry contacts, I was able to obtain 100% accurate information regarding which Ultralytes use which pulse rate:

Ultralyte Pulse Rates

Ultralyte 100/200 Standard (Non-LR) - 100 pps

Ultralyte 100/200 LR Rev 1 (Serial number prefix "UL") - 100 pps

Ultralyte 100/200 LR Rev 2, LR B, Compact (Serial number prefix "UX") - 125 pps

Mystery solved.

Are their Ultralytes with the serial prefix of "UL" that give speed in MPH and distance in feet?

Great....so now I've just gotta go around to my local townships and do a "LIDAR inspection."

No, no, all kidding aside, thank you, Professor (as well as everyone who contributed "data"), for getting this sorted out. 8)

Jimbonzz strikes again!

Although I would suggest that this is only part of the mystery solved. We already knew there were different UL flavours in the wild, but what we really need to know is their numbers in circulation. Armed with that knowledge we are better suited to knowing how likely it is to actually run into one.

So Jimbonzz. Use your contacts and get us some numbers!!

More homework for you!

Mine arrived yesterday and is a Ultralyte LR (Serial number prefix "UX") - 125 pps despite the labeling on the unit only saying "LR" and NOT labeled 100 LR.
