Anyways, I don't think anyone will take jammers sent by a manufacturer seriously, but it will at least be interesting. I am interested in seeing what is possible with these beefed up units.
I really want to test the XTR-695.... If it is released fast enough, I will be able to get my hands on it for testing. And some Laser Veil MAYBE!
Its those two or an M25... and those two are cheaper.

I had a Fuzzbuster and I remember hearing about the substitution. But that was pre-Internet and the review was published in a mag and the truth probably never reached a lot of initial readers or potential buyers.
With the internet, things are much different. If a manufacturer tried that today, it would be a public relations nightmare. Look at the problems for L.I. even though it was acknowledged up front it was a prototype.
Can you imagine the fallout if it were discovered that an LED jammer manufacturer had hidden a diode jammer in amongst their LED's in the head? I can't believe they would take the risk.
After thinking about this some more, I can imagine someone putting a more powerful (and illegal to sell) diode in a head - one that exceeded the FDA class 1 limit.
Unless you use blind buyers and/or you really know who is bringing a unit, or you go in and randomly pull one from Radar Roy's stock, you are not going to know that you have a true retail non-tweaked unit. The manufacturer could supply a tweaked unit to someone (hey, how about me) to go to the test just as if they were a normal walk in. For diode jammers, I don't think any are sold in retail stores and a rep has just as much incentive as a manufacturer to provide a tweaked unit.
More jammers to come as event comes closer. The Stalker Laser gun and Pro Laser 3 will be out there. LTI UL Laser Gun - Pending.
I made this event in September on purpose to give this event plenty of time for preparation and to make sure that everyone has a head notice about the event so those that wanted to attend can come.
The thing about a manufacturer not attending the event, sure they can send a "higher end" unit just for the testing.... however...with it being open to the public....and allowing any laser jammer that members can bring out there.... it would be very easy to spot something like this....for example if I am using a Laser Mask on a vehicle with similar profile and you are unable to get any punch through on the laser gun at all on my vehicle....now another member brings a laser mask out there.....which would be random retail bought....and we are getting punch throughs at 700 feet with almost same vehicle profile and head placement, would be obvious something wasnt right.....
Thats why I ENCOURAGE as many people that would like to come out....more people....more the different laser jammers/radar detectors that we will see. Also its a great educational day... you get to use the laser guns yourself! How many average consumers have used a laser gun before? Its a great tool to see what the police are using against you....how quickly you can acquire a vehicles speed without any laser protection..... and the challenges that the police shooting the vehicle face.....and where you need to hit the vehicle at on your vehicle to get the reading at. This gives the consumer the advantage to properly place the heads on their vehicle where it is needed most! Also how many consumers have a laser jammer on their car and know for sure if there laser jammer is jamming all the way through or at least for a bit.....this event gives you an ideal of how close you can be before the laser gun might have a chance at picking you up.
This will be the 2nd laser jammer test we have done, its educational and lots of fun! We get to see laser jammer and radar detector setups and learn great ideals that we can apply to our setup as well. Plus we will be giving free apparel away & decals, and their will be an after event scheduled for those that would like to attend....its a great chance for everyone to get to meet with each other and learn off each other.... we will be shooting live video of all the different test going on....and its for the consumer to decide and take what they want of it....end of story...... how often does something like this come along?

Who brought the single head LPP out to the last test?
I'm not knocking the public testing idea with retail, non-retail, or prototype units - whatever. It's a great service to an individual owner to be able to get his setup tested. I wish you would come to New England and do one.
I also hope that no one sabotages the event - your Houston site may not have any hills unlike the GOL AZ test site, but I expect there will be a lot of cars, truck, and vans amongst which another laser gun could be hidden.
I suppose if it were not announced before the test which model was being tested, the saboteurs would not know when to try to influence the result.

Thank you
You are correct the last course we picked on the last test we did was a flat course, one direction it was curvy and we were able to do about 1,800 feet shots on the vehicle coming around a curve...we wanted to see how it did when being hit at an angle. The other side was about 3,000+ feet shots coming at the laser gun at a straight angle the entire time.
One of my members ProSpeeder and I are going to be scoping out a testing site and we are wanting to find something more central to downtown for everyone as the last testing site was way up North Houston...seems like alot of the people were coming from South Houston. I would love to find a course that will contain hills and curves and long 3,000 feet shots
Ovencleaner- I believe that was his member name, couldnt remember. I will send him a PM, wanting him to try the single head LPP out on the course this time. We were able to get a hold of the Stalker laser gun this time for this jammer test! Also we will have two tripod holders going to run the pro laser 3 on one side of the road and the stalker on the other side of the road. Will be much easier to film each run with the laser guns sitting on the tripods and easier to hold it steady.

Awsome!
I can't wait to see the jammers, and I just ordered a can of Veil G4, we will see how well it performs
Also, If the XTR-695 comes in we can test its PPS display.
If anyone wants an application of Veil G4, we will talk about it there.
