yes the laser shield and veil work very well. to answer your question they are legal because they are not active jammers. sometimes the leo's aren't to kind if they know that the cover over your plates is a laser shield but u could easily get out of it by saying u just want to protect your plate. however there is no way that they are going to be able to prove that you are using veil and it really wouldn't matter because there is no legislation saying that veil is illegal. VEIL is an awesome product.

Hello all,

What I want to know is if anyone is using Blinders or Shifters in the Miami area, and how do the cops react to being jammed. Because of what I do for a living, I would be fired for being arrested for obstruction, regardless of the result of the trial.

I guess the real question is how do they work and how do the LEOs preceive it when their equipment is "affected" by the devices, such as Blinder, Veil, etc...

First, its my understanding that no passive jammer has been proven to work. In fact, Roy is offering $5K to anyone who can provide a passive jammer that actually works.

Thus, I don't believe the the LEOs see their equipment as being "jammed". Perhaps they just think that they didn't have a good reading, and they try again.

Anyway, I recommend you check out the video section and watch "The Guys of Lidiar" and watch some of their tests. And also read up on reviews at Radardetector.net

VEIL and the Laser Sheild are Passive LASER Jammers and they both work quite well. Passive Laser Jammers work, Passive Radar Jammers do not.

Ontario - illegal.

Quebec - legal but I have no proof of LIDAR guns being used by police here.

I have video that prove LIDAR is in QUEBEC (but never seen a SQ Using it) only local town

Believe me, I did a lot of research and thanks above for RadarRoy because I almost fell into the Rocky Mountain scam-incidentally was tested by a local station here in Miami which proved what we already know---it just dont work!

I am familiar with the Guys of Lidar site and have seen some of the test videos (PS GREAT STUFF GUYS!!!).

I just wanted to reach out to someone with first hand experience locally to ease my mind. I am not sure if Veil will work in my car because the intake up front is all chrome...I do have huge headlights which would be tasty targets to LEOs.

Oh I guess I should disclose

Radar and Laser jammers are illegal in Colorado as of 1 July 05. They define a jammer as any device that prevents getting a reading for law enforcement. The way it is written they can define just about anything(passive or active) they want as illegal if they think it impeded getting a speed reading. So it is pretty broad and it makes possession illegal... You don't even have to be operating or using the "jammer". So is it pretty over the top. I can see more states will be following suite in the not so distant future.

Default Thats begging for an oversturn in supreme court

I dont think there is anyway to get around the radar jamming issue unless you seek licensing from the FCC and even then I think it would be improbable to create a 'perfect' device. Since lightwaves are not licensed...I would hope a manufacturer would create a dual purpose device, one that like would give you a distance to the next vehicle and jam police. That way your interference would be inadvertant...and within your rights. Maybe a judge (NOT A MAGISTRATE) would tell the cops go find a new lightwave.

It depends on the penalty really, find out what it is in your state if you're in a state that has banned laser jammers. I'd rather pay a small to medium fine for getting caught with a jammer instead of a ticket that will jack up my insurance and cost me money for years to come.
