I know it is a fine(not sure how much), ticket, and they confiscate the equipment that they claim is preventing them from getting the reading. I heard the number or $1000 max penalty, but I don't know if that is correct. So it isn't to be taken lightly.

Drive safe, have fun,

In that case it would make sense to check the state's local laws on penalties. If it's a moderate fine with no points then I'd risk it. If it included points then you might as well just get a speeding ticket.

You can add Colorado to this list as well. Any others? I'd be good to update this list and make this a sticky.

Minnesota's law is a petty misdemeanor and the max fine is $300.
Just an FYI..

if one is smart with using their jammer meaning shutting it off after they slow down then there is nothing to really worry about

VEIL and the Laser Sheild are Passive LASER Jammers and they both work quite well.
They absorb light. Therefore, I wouldn't consider them "jammers".

Is there a way for cops to tell that you definately have a jammer? Do they ever get false jam codes?

It is a class 1 misdemeanor CRIME (reckless driving) to drive 81mph or faster in Virginia regardless of the speed limit. Virginia has the most strict and harsh traffic laws in the country, but yet Virginia is ranked in the middle compared to the traffic safety of other states. The traffic laws are for revenue generation and attorney business because if the laws are really for safety, Virginia would be the safest state to drive in.

I notice the SC new law states "scrambling". Seems like those RMR radio commercials are scaring the legislatures into making these new laws. The funny thing is the RMR doesn't do anything to the police laser gun! RMR is getting laser jammers banned and taking peoples money.
