Default Did I get shifted or shafted?

After purchasing a brand-new Honda Accord EX-L Sedan, which I plan to keep for as long as it lasts, I decided I want to invest to equip it with the best remote and laser detection and laser jammer available.

I popped online to RadarTest.com (please don't hurt me) and carefully read there latest review of Laser Jammers. Looking at the results chart, the Escort ZR3 was the winner, out of about 5 units, successfully jamming each of the 5 LIDAR guns they tested. So, I hunted around, found a store with the SR7 & ZR3 combo unit in one box. (I have never see this package anywhere else, even to know, but I thought I read somewhere that there is a special item, the Escort "RX" I think they called it, available exclusively to car dealers for like $1,500, which has the SR7 & ZR3 in the same box, well, anyway, thats what I got, instead of having to purchase them separately.)

Now, reading through the oh-so-wise pages of RadarDetector.net, with God's of radar like RadarRoy posting, I need to ask... am I getting shifted or shafted? So far I have been veryyyy happy with what I have, but I would rather have the ULTIMATE protection.

Should I buy the Blinder M20 and install it *in addition* to the SR7 & ZR3 I have now? Should I move the rear sensor to the front to be safe? I may not have the funds to do this all at once right away, but ultimately, what should I do, based on what I got so far, & what is out there now, to have the *absolute ultimate* radar sensitivity *and* laser jamming ability?

I would say buy the Blinder if you want ULTIMATE protection. If you do not want to spend the money then buy the Laser Veil.

I wouldn't tremble behind the wheel with a ZR3. But I'd have gotten the Blinder. That said, a coat of Veil never hurt anyone.

    NYDude,

Radartest.com laser jammer ocmparison is quite dated. CP and company will be releasing an updated review with the latest equipment within 8 weeks.

I would think the SR7/ZR3 system would be fine, i'd feel plenty safe with it, but i'd get a can of veil just for good measure.

I ordered a can from RadarBusters... hehe... I plan to apply it as soon as I get it!

    Thanks!

I'd say that you're pretty well covered then. The only weakspot currently with the Zr3 is that it can't jam atlanta laser stealth mode (can detect it though, I think). Veil will keep you covered on that and it's nothing to lose any sleep over anyways, Stealth guns make up a very small percentage of laser guns in the US, and Stealth mode has to be activated by the officer (off by default).

The Escort combo should do really nicely. I'd like to see a pic of the install if you have access to a digital camera and the time to post it.

I would feel quite safe with the Laser Veil alone so yes you are pretty well covered now that you got the Veil too

I would take the rear transponder of the ZR3 and put it on your front plate so you have 3 transmitters on the front. I doubt you'd have any punch through with this setup. Don't worry about LA stealth mode unless you live in Ohio or Georgia.
