    Default question about my zr4.

Okay I have the zr4's on my car. I can set them off w/a t.v. remote and I can also set off my v1. but when I look thru my digital camera video screen I can't see them light up "ir reflection"... I was pretty sure when I use to do this with my original blinder mp06's or something like that... the original old school blinders. I could see them light up in my viewfinder, but that was with a camcorder. but I can't seem to see my zr4's light up thru my dig. cam. veiwfinder. ..

should I be able to see them light up?
just want to make sure Im also jamming not just receiving....

and they come factory in jamming mode right?

^ My ZR3 (as well as LI and LPP) all "show" on either a standard digicam or with "NightMode" assisted cameraphone.

    Hope this helps......

Is there any special set up your doing or do I have to drive way out in the country and shoot in a cow pasture again?

^ Yeah, I go way, way out in the country ("where the rabbits don't poop," as the Chinese proverb goes), spin around seven times, and then lie prostrate, naked.

    Nope.

It's easier to see when it's dark out, but hell, my house is in the suburbs, and it's always rather bright (neighbor's yard light, my garage's outside light - which is automatic, and I can't shut it off). Just dark-enough should do.

During the daytime, I've even just closed the garage door (here, keep in mind that one entire "slat" of the door is composed of windows), and cup my hands over the heads.....

Try your camera-phone 'video' function GTO.

My Blinders are easy to see via camera-phone when they fire, but the key is you have to be level and directly in-front of them (About 1 foot away, at the height of the unit, facing right at it), and they look like... hmmm little LED's.

I would assume logically that you should be able to see yours this way as well, make sure you kneel down so you are at 'head level' when videotaping with a camera phone.

Years ago Radio Shack used to sell a tiny card which flouresced in red light when you shined an IR remote controller beam onto it. There has got to be some electronic company out there who still makes the darned things!

I'll try my cameraphone... I was able to see little red flickers. but I'll try it when it's darker....

I saw that vid! wtf he's actually in a field?! weird how that "GTO" glowed tho...

Cool news about the camera vid...just tried it out in the garage, works great!

Volume seems to make the audio alarm. DirectTV HD remote. Seems it goes from Sat to TV real quick, which makes a 'pulse' therefore it alarms. But most other buttons are constant SatTv thus constant on LI and no audio alert....

gotta be right down on it to see it real bright on camera...

wow, it did work better thru my camera phone. I can get all 3 heads to go off at the same time. I have the rear head on the front, I know they say it works less, because the timing is off from the rear head to the front, but Im not so sure about it, they go off exactly at the same time....
