    Default Double up on ZR3

Does anybody know if you can put 2- ZR3 setups on the front without crosstalk??
Maybe a dumb idea but for 400-500 you can have 4 heads up front.

I don't see why not, but there are a few things to consider since to my knowledge this hasn't been tested:

The ZR3 and ZR4 shifter cases are transparent to IR. This means that some energy from the IR emitters could leak from one shifter towards another shifter and cause cross-talk. The simplest solution might be to wrap the shifter heads with black electrical tape. If you want to stack a pair of shifter heads, you also might want to install a thin sheet of black plastic between the shifter heads such that the black plastic sheets extends forward from the fronts of the shifter heads by 1/4 to 1/2 of an inch.

Anyway, these are things which I do want to test with my two pairs of ZR4's at the next Atlanta Jammerfest event which hopefully will be fairly soon.

Thanks, I was hopeing you would answer that question. Just to add on to that if you were to wrap something in electrical tape, try using 3m 33+ or rubber splicing tape which can be found at electrical supply store. The 33+ is less likely to breakdown on advers weather and the rubber tape when reversed wrapped sticks forever. If you really want to you can Scotch-Kote it after which will seal it from any moisture.

Or you could mask off the fronts of the heads and then shoot the heads with the flat black Krylon paint which is engineered to bond to plastic. I've used the stuff before for other plastic surfaces. The key is to apply it in light coats since you don't want it its chemicals to eat the plastic too much.

Krylon makes a ultra flat black non-reflective paint used for camo.
