So I was doing some reading on how to align the heads on my Corvette. I just moved my Passport SRX from my car that is up for sale to the vette. I'm very familiar with leveling and aiming.....or so I thought.
Previously I had leveled based on an average of the bottom and top since they are not parallel. The manual didn't seem to clearly explain this.
I decided to try and find out what the proper way is. After some research on here I found that there is in fact a top and a bottom to the heads and the circuit board is mounted to one of them not to the black plate like I had assumed. Based on the picture I saw of one broken open it makes sense to ensure that you have them oriented correctly and aligned based on only the top surface.
After reading this and looking at the picture of one opened up I can't see any marking denoting top or bottom on my ZR3 heads. I'm sure one or both of mine are upside down but can't find any marking denoting this. Help?
So how do I tell if they are upside down? Should the circuit board be on the top or bottom?
I was thinking I could try and activate them with an IR remote and see which side the IR's are closer to. But once I do this I need to know if the LED's should be closer to the top or bottom. Any input appreciated, thanks!
Thanks!
