    Default ZR3 question!

I just acquired a zr3 via one of my wholesaler's. They are going out of business and were offering great deals on a lot of their electronics. I got the escort zr3 for at a good price with shipping and am just curious how hard they are to install, has anyone here ever installed one?

I would just like to know if this is a plug and play type unit or if I will be stuck in my garage for two days and night's tying to figue it out. (will be getting it mid next week)

    Any info would be helpful!

I did not install my ZR3 myself. I had a pro do it. It took em the better half of 4 and half hours. I would say it really depends on the type of grill the car has and where you want to mount the jammers. I had a buddy do a ZR3 on his CLK Benz, took em about 3 hours.

There are 2 cables that you'd have to run from the grill area into the car's cabin.
There's a cable you'd have to run from the rear license tag area into the cabin.
There a 12v power connection you'd make somewhere under the dash to the interface box, which is small and can be zip tied somewhere under the dash. All the cables run to it.
There's a small disaply box you'd mount somewhere in sight, and run it's cable to the interface box.
There's a small mute button that you'd mount somewhere within easy reach and run it's cable to the interface box.

The install and user PDF's are on the Escort web site if you want to look at it ahead of time.

03' cobra is what it's going on, The install looks fairly simple shouldn't take more than a few hours.

Hey guys You should only buy from authorized dealers and BELscort like most companys don't approve of blow out prices

There are updates on the way for the Escort ZR3 so you SHOULD NOT buy from a place unless you you can get a full warranty!!!!!!

This is not a place to advertise and sell stuff from other places...it's against rules

I swear I just looked at my first thread and one of the lines was edited out, the part that said $150.00. I was not trying too sell anything I simply stated the price I got the unit for and the wholesaler I got it from is completely out of stock, I swear some of the moderator's are a little out of hand here!!!!

Yeah i noticed that too, and that my post was deleted. i was just kidding when i said "If you come across another for $150, ill take it". it was a joke. haha. laugh laugh. you know, that sorta thing. i know its illegal for someone to go behind the back of their company and sell stuff at wholesale. it was just a joke. its all good though.

Guys one of my first post i just posted the price i got on a smart coard i purchased and that price was removed....Thats why i edited your post now should i edit your most recent post or will you do that yourself? I also deleted the post of people asking you to get them a Escort ZR3

You were not advertising to sell but people were asking to get a jammer for them at the same price...not cool

Sorry guys i am just upholding the same rules that have been applied to me in the past and present.
