    Question This is interesting...

Well, I installed my ZR4 the other night, and apparently everything works for the most part. I installed the display module as well as my STi Driver into the interface. Here's where it gets interesting. My STi only recognizes the ZR4 when the interface is turned on. It recognizes the ZR4 as a LaserPro 904. If I remember correctly, when both the display module and detector are plugged into the interface, the display module "goes to sleep". Apparently with me that did not happen. I got a false laser hit at a toll booth this morning. The alert showed up on the ZR4 display, not on my STi as it should have. Also, during start-up, both the STi and the display module went through their self-diagnostics, and the display went to sleep, but only for a few seconds. The STi beeped, then the ZR4 display module went through a self-test again and stayed on. I have contacted tech support, and have yet to hear back from them. Anyone else experience this??? As well, my STi has the ramp-up fix.

    HELP!!!

    UPDATE!!!!!!!

I was finally able to get a hold of Doug & Steve in Tech Support. My particular issue could be either one of two things:

    1) the interface cable (STi Driver to ZR4 interface) or...

    2) my STi isn't talking properly with the ZR4 interface.

    SOOOOOOOOO.....

My baby needs to go back to Beltronics for a look-see.

In AZ in 2007 we hooked a zr3 up to an STi and it said LaserPro 904. Still worked perfectly though

I think even thought Escort came out with different models, something in the software stayed the same as no matter what the model is,the rd always reads it as the LP904.

Well, I sent my STi in as Tech Support had requested. Hopefully I will get it back soon...
