Hey Guys,
Quick question... is the rear license plate mount that comes with the ZR4 enough to defend againt laser. There is no good place for me to mount regular laser heads on my 02/03 VW Jetta's. Please advise...
thanks,

oh wait disregard what i said earlier.. ummm i have zr'3s and its about the same thing so depends on the color of your car if its highly reflective i guess(like white color) and for a zr'4 its really never a sure thing.. its kind of outdated and but other things like veil and laser shield should help

simply...no
No. The rear zr4 shifter would offer little to no protection.
Awesome... It appears that i'll be cutting into the bumper of my car. Thanks for the quick response.
Maybe at a long distance if you have a laser shield and a Veiled plate, but rear lidar seems to be hard to stop, the consensus seems to be.
It's actually fairly effective if only the plate is targeted. If the lidar beam gets off the plate it's pretty much instant PT.

Yeah, that's the problem. Rear shots will usually be off-axis, weakening the jammer's ability to fight back. And they will also often hit something other than the plate to begin with, meaning the shot will never be detected at such close distance.
I'm not sure why you'd have to Dremel out your body though. The slim LI heads are smaller than a ZR4 head, and come with customisable flat brackets for arranging in the plate area.
