My laser shifters are on each side of my licence plate but my receiver is about 8 inches behind the grill bolted to my intercooler bracket. Where are you from? You should probably get your shifters tested. I'm assuming the change in voltage can make the Laser shifting alert go off. Evey once in awhile we get somebody who says their laser alert goes off when hitting the horn.
