Where I live, LEOs use three guns, the Kustom PLIII, the LTI TruSpeed and the LTI Ultralyte LR-B. Testing has shown me that against the PLIII and the TruSpeed, my ZR4s supplemented with Veil would probably win almost every encounter on the front of my car. Against the Ultralyte, it would be a total crapshoot, probably 50/50. Any Ultralyte encounter at sub-500 ft and I would be toast. Luckily for me, my locals don't use the Stalker, because my ZR4s basically don't jam that gun at all. My back ZR4s have almost no shot against any and all guns.

That said, I actually do get true benefit out of my ZR4s. I run them in "receive only" mode, so that they can show me the direction of the laser encounter, because my LIs do not.

Excuse my ignorance, but what is the difference between a LED (light emitting diode) and a diode?

    http://www.radardetector.net/forums/...de-jammer.html

It is 'Slang' with hobbyists if you will.

People new to jammers get confused all the time since they know: LED = Light Emitting Diode.

If you search keywords like "LED DIODE" those 2 in thread title you should get 10+ hits id guess.

The only stupid question is a question that is already answered in the FAQ.

No worries. It's actually a complicated deal, since both are tecnically "diodes". We just use the term a little more specifically here to simplify things.

The ZR4 can be a decent Jammer under certain condition, but I would say go the safer route and get preferably an LI or you could go with a Blinder

I have shown veil isn't needed for JTG with zr3 with a PL3 OR a truspeed

Video proves all would you like it?

Video shows that anything is possible. It says nothing about what is likely.

Nice vids Idontgo55. Any chance of a pic of the car in the vids? I would like to see how the heads where mounted.
