I've read in several threads that applying Veil to projector HID headlights dramatically reduces the brightness of the light on the road.
My Audi A4 I bought a couple months ago has halogen (not HID) projectors and I'm wondering if this side effect of Veil applies to all projectors or just HID ones?
Dilip, you mentioned a loss of brightness. Are the lights on your Mazda6 halogen or xenon? My wife has a Mazda6 with halogen projectors.
If it does affect the performance of my projectors, I gather that removing the Veil from the area of the lens where the light comes out will help. What about masking that part of the lens when applying the Veil? Is it better to do that or to Veil the entire lens and then remove the one spot with alcohol?
