Default What does Veil look like after application?

It's hard to really see the pictures because they are so small. I just did my first application with a big brush. No streaks but the finish looks like small bumps everywhere that you can only see from about 6 feet. (It looks like a dirty headlight.) When it was first applied and wet, it looked smooth. After drying in 13C overnight in my garage, I saw the speckles. Is the finish supposed to be smooth or look like what I have.

Did you clean the headlights before applying Veil? If you clean the headlights really well before applying it should prevent any 'bumps' from forming.

Hmmm, I just recently put on Veil and cleaned all the lights. I'm pretty sure it says in the instructions, cause I dont think I would've been smart enough to think of cleaning my lights before applying veal.

You will notice speckles the more pitted the surface. My headlight lenses are pretty nicked up and you can see speckles up close.

Clean it real good. mild soapy wash, I used a dish sponge (one side a scrubby pad to get the bug guts), then Windex. I bought some higher quality foam brushes of varying sizes from Home Depot, then applied per instructions. Slow even strokes worked for me.

I noticed this when you do not apply it in extreme heat, or you use a hair dryer while the application is still wet. I think those specs are crap from the air that make the veil bunch up on the headlights.

    quandary,

Sure it was. Page 1 reads:

Surface preparation: Make sure that the surfaces to be coated are well cleaned and dried prior to application...
