If you don't need a front plate, then don't have a front plate. No plate is better than a Laser Shield + plate.

Of course, in states that require a front plate, then a Laser Shield + Veil is the way to go. I may go that route some day.

The fact is there is to much a$$ on the car to protect, and when an officer lasers your from the rear, its going to be from point blank range.

It would be interesting to know whether a detector or Blinder could pick up laser reflection or scatter from cars ahead that are getting shot from the rear, but since rear laser is so rare I doubt anyone here will have an experience like this for quite some time.

It seems the cop would be at a big disadvantage shooting laser at the rear of cars because you've already seen him by the time he can hit you. Or at least hopefully other cars ahead have seen him and nailed the brakes so you know a cop is ahead.

I can think of a couple of instances where rear laser and radar shots are effective and that is from overpasses, and on-ramps. You go right by them and they are difficult to spot in these locations. Laser would be lethal from these locations and rear shots would be very easy. Here I see on-ramp radar shots all the time, or worse yet they let you go by and then merge behind you... Then instant on after they close the distance. I know if I were a LEO I have a darn good idea where I would conceal myself in quite a few places in my city, and I don't think setting up a speed trap for rear shot laser would be that hard to do. Ii haven't seen it yet, but the local LEO's just recieved thier new toys and have been out "playing in traffic" with them. So I guess I will shortly find out how creative they can be.

That is a very good question however regarding a rear shot laser and being able to pickup the reflections off of the cars in front of you. That is an interesting idea that I wouldn't mind knowing myself.

    Drive safe, have fun,
