Over at the Florida Invitational, JDS applied some Veil onto my headlights for 10 bucks
My headlights had some dried on bug splats. I tried my best to remove most of it with some Stoners Invisible Glass spray and shop towels. I was able to remove the majority of them.
JDS applied Veil. This is what it looked like shortly after the application.
I don't know if it can be seen, but for some odd reason the bottom half of my headlights didn't like the Veil. They seemed to "reject" it(don't know how else to say it.) It still set, but not as smoothly as the top half.
Here's some close ups a week or two after. As many of you know, Veil sort of hazes over when it dries. It seemed to have brought out/made more visible the pits, as well as the reflector imperfections I have on my headlights.
As far as light output at night, it didn't seem to affect my fogs/DL much. As far as the headlights, the lows have visibly been reduced, I'd say about 15-20%. The high beams were also reduced, though not as much. They just don't seem to illuminate the tree tops as much as they used to.
