Clean and re-apply of veil

I'm thinking of ordering this (from radarbusters of course), but i have a few questions.
i read somewhere to re-apply around 6 months or so. is there a way to tell when it's worn down?
Can you just recoat, or do you need to completely remove and re-apply?
What do you use to remove it?
I have no front plate, so i would be coating my headlights and the chrome trim on my front grill, is chrome a problem?

What you would do is a visual inspection. Look for chips, scratches in the covering.

To remove, use rubbing alcohol

Household ammonia & water will also remove the film.

To maintain decent appearance, we would recommend removing the film first followed by a thorough cleaning and then a fresh reapplication.

We conservatively estimated six months but depending on how much you drive and where you may get quite a bit more out of the coating.

Veil performance does not noticeably degrade over time, but as Roy stated will be subject to chipping due to road stones, etc.

You can also think of VEIL as a protective coating to the areas covered.

If you notice a lot of composite headlight systems on cars get pitted over time and lose their luster. VEIL will also help protect them from this effect.

To determine whether your chrome is a problem, shine a light on the front of your vehicle at night. What you see is what the laser "sees." This will show you if your chrome is a problem.
