    Default Moving LIDAR?

Is moving laser a reality yet? Yesterday I was driving on I-10 eastbound just outside of Phoenix when I got a full-blast laser alert and a few seconds later I saw a state trooper coming in the other direction. I couldn't spot any fixed staties around so the moving car was the only one. This is only the 3rd laser alert I've gotten and neither of the first 2 were falses.

Laser can be used only in a stationary position. It hasnt hit the moving just yet

If it ever hits moving I wouldn't care. At least for now I can jam it.

Also moving laser? I gotta see that one!!!

I bet it was a false. Chances are it didn't come from the trooper. Did you notice any Infiniti, Lexus or Mercedes SUVs at the time? Some of them have laser cruise controls that can set off detectors.

On the other hand, it's possible the cop fired the laser to "scare" people with detectors into slowing down. Even though he couldn't get a speed reading from a moving cruiser. All laser (LIDAR) guns are hand held.
If I'm passing you on the right, YOU are in the wrong lane!

If speed kills, how come I'm still alive?

You said you saw a trooper a few seconds later after the alert. Maybe he was parked on the side shooting laser and was going after someone.

If the trooper's red/blue lights were on, that may have been the source of the alert, some of those can trigger a laser alert.
