    Default Veil On Chrome?

Does anyone have photos or video of the results? I hear mixed opinions on the results and whether it is worth it or not. But I've also seen laser pick up on the smallest little glint of chrome for a reading too.

My new car has only a thin (maybe 1/4 inch wide) rim of chrome around the grille (non-chrome), but if it won't look like shyte, I'd like to Veil it. Any experiences Veiling chrome?

It doesn't work well if you paint it on.

On the other hand, Phillip claims excellent results from airbrushing Veil onto chrome.

I myself suggest either replacing chrome parts, or sanding and painting them.

Then I'm screwed, I'd have to spray the whole front of the car.

Thanks for the pics. I was thinking about doing this to my car and wasn't sure what the results would look like. I will be Veiling my emblems.

Is there any readily available paint out there that covers chromed plastic well without sanding all the chrome off first?

You don't have to sand it all off, just use fine-grit sandpaper to scuff it.

    Good photos JDS...

I will be honest here: On the Thruway (where NYST use laser very often) I will most likely be putting black electrical tape over my Honda symbol this upcoming semester.

Hey, low tech works! Can't argue with success.

That was my original plan too, but decided that having to change the tape every couple of months would just drive me nuts.
