Forgive me if this isn't the right forum; but from my research it seems passive defense would include and probably be based around a certain anti-reflective coating - i.e. this forum seemed most in line with passive laser defense.
I want to do something due to, while having a Val1 and good knowledge of laser hits, I somehow miraculously avoided 2 tickets clearly while obviously speeding from frontal hits. This is in NW Austin (Texas), if relevant.
What I would like to know is if it's worth trying to, and what I can do to shield my white car. I realize all the tests are done with black cars for a reason.
It is a 98 Z28 - similar to the one in this pic: http://media.motortopia.com/files/80...ng_shots-9.jpg
I have the plain hood, black RVmirror guards, and no front plate - just that black grill.
I figure the lights could use a coat of Veil. What I am wondering is:
A. If white makes the car a "lost cause", or if the shape + amount of frontal black (flat surface is black) makes up for it
B. How much "bang for the buck" is a black car bra (the car's beyond "getting by on its looks" from a paint perfection standpoint)
I want to buy a few seconds to hit the brakes upon hearing the beep. Any advice on these points?
