How far from the headlights did you hold the airbrush while you sprayed?
Also, can you link to the full-sized original shots? (the ones relating to your car at least)

Man, the significant difference in appearances between different applications is a bit worrisome. Some are clear as glass. Some are foggy as a bathroom mirror. Some are charcoal grey. Some are ice blue. There has got to be some way to standardise this process in order to be able to predict the appearance of the results. This is just way too random.
^ I agree.
OK, given that both JDS and sbfuller airbrushed theirs - and that they used many *fewer* coats than erick did.
And add to that how dark GTRstikya's setup ( http://www.radardetector.net/forums/439726-post25.html ) and Victor's came out - and compare that to my single-coat, which looks pretty darned blue (my car's color, though, likely presents some corruption of that particular set of visual data).....
Would it be safe to say, here, that the more coats, the more gray/black G4 becomes, and the more "matte" its overall appearance, too?
Does anybody know what agent is safe for thinning Veil for airbrushing?
My pussy with blonde hair and my pussy with black hair:
We need to do more testing, but it's certainly possible.
From what I can tell, Veil consists of some kind of material (an organic polymer, from what Bob has told us) dissolved in some kind of organic solvent. If Bob would be willing to tell us what that organic solvent is, it SHOULD be safe to add as much of that solvent as you want. I think it's very likely that it's some kind of simple alcohol, considering how well isopropyl works, although I think it's probably not isopropyl alcohol or ethanol because of the smell...I COULD be wrong, though!
Of course, Bob, if you feel that you do not want us discussing this (as it IS related to the formulation of Veil), please say so.
Is Veil organically grown?
