Worlds longest VEIL post.

Ok, JDS. Because of you I bumped up my Veil install to today. I got up at 6:30 on a Saturday morning and watched F1 qualifying in Valancia while I started prepping Sheila. I got my airbrush, jar of Veil and a bunch of tape, plastic and towels.







I removed the headlights, washed with a mild soap solution, let them dry and cleaned them with alcohol.

I masked off both headlights and set them up horizontal so the airbrush would spray down.



I applied 12 light coats this time. Allowing 30 minutes between coats



I did the fog lights just like the the Vettes. 3 heavy coats an hour between.



Here's some details of the headlights once they were done.







I was so impressed with the results, and since I was already set up I decided to Veil a few other things.

and my cat

I LOVE all the other stuff you Veiled!

I'm really surprised by your results though...your headlights look foggy and grey instead of smooth and blue!

Of course, it could have something to do with the way the photos were taken, as you never really can tell with these sorts of things unless you see them in person...but I have trouble believing that it's entirely a trick of the camera.

Also, how much Veil did you use? I ended up filling the little jar completely and emptying it the first time, then using maybe 80% of it after refilling.

As for your cigar;

Surgeon VeilGuy's warning: Smoking or inhaling veil fumes may cause cancer. Women who are pregnant, nursing or taking medication should not use Veil.

I used exactly one airbrush jar. Which is about 1/8 a Veil jar. BTW, I used much more on my first C6 coat but it had streaks and it was moddled so I decided to lay back and use more coats this time. No blue tint this time around.

That is the browned ground beef that was soon to become my spaghetti sauce. And VEIL is my new secret ingredient. Best ever! and now I'm invisible to radar up till 150 ft. (if I'm wearing all black)
