How do I get Veil to stick to my fog lights? I will be ordering some soon. Last time I tried to apply it to my fog lights it wouldn't spread right. It was almost like it rolled off the lights.

Yea, it kinnda did it to me too. Then again I didn't prep the surface at all.
Prep the surface by cleaning it with alcohol.
mhardy, is the lens "glass?"

The VEIL Guy's recommendation is to use 3M Perfect It, to really get the glass surface clean, and remove all traces of wax build-up.
On one of my previous vehicles, the lens for the fog, OEM, was actually glass - and I found out, to my chagrin, that when I tried to dress it, cosmetically, with VHT Nightshades, the paint just slid right off after the first rain. I believe that had I known about the wax deposit issue, the result would have been different.
Hope this helps!
I'm pretty sure his fogs aren't glass. Ford isn't that baller
This is assuming they are OEM.
I ordered the 3m perfect it, and an airbrush kit, blah blah blah. After a lot of time and money, I have concluded that Veil is a waste. It may seem cool, and give you an extra edge, but it always chips off and quickly becomes ineffective. If you want to continually repair it, go for it.
ps - my lenses are plastic.
I'm not sure what they are but I'm sure they are probably the same matereial as Elvato's lights....Someone told me to clean them real well and then lightly scuff them with fine sand paper so the Veil will stick better...Kinda like you do when paint something...Is this true ?
Plus if anyone wants to split a can let me know.

I'm not sure this has been tried or tested, but there are paint primers for smooth plastics that are clear. This would help the situation for those with plastic lenses on their lights.
I am trying to find a similar primer for glass, but all seem to be etching agents that leave glass slightly opaque and permanently marred.
Hey, Hardy, you already bought the can? I have some hear, that's probably enough for your fogs, if you want some.
