Thanks m8
wait, your v995 actually alerts to laser up there? i thought only the v1 could do that . i like it high becuase the radar is so much better, but i'd be worried about it up there. is it really that sensitive?Originally Posted by crazyVOLVOrob
on the lasershield, look at the difference between the photos. the 1st one was so bright in reflection that you couldnt even read the plate numbers. on the 2nd one, you could read them (and i just blaned them out for privacy) and it was about the same reflectiveness as the rest of the front of the car... judging by that, i'd say the range was maybe cut in half? possibly
I'm getting my laser shield also. I Just ordered from Roy.
I only have veil right now on my lights and plate. I"m glad your pictures came out like this. Do u have veil on your headlights too?
i havnt put it on the headlights yet. i wanted to post what i did on my fog lights and see what people think of it before i do both headlights. i dont think i have enough on. i did an IR test with my sony camera w/nightshot and it still gave a good amount of reflection from the center of the light...Originally Posted by Dilip
the lasershield is AWESOME, you'll be glad you got it . have you done any IR tests yet on your car with the veiled plate? my guess is that the results of the veiled plate and lasershield with little to no veil will be about the same...dont quote me on that though...
I dont have the camera to test
Yes i saw your pics....i think its fine on your fog lights. But u will find that it is much harder to put veil on your main headlights as its a bigger area and you'll get a lot of streeaking. U'll probably end up removing it and trying it again a couple of times like i did. There's loads of info around here for tricks on how to Veil it nicely, including the video of the veil guy doing it himself.
