Default Applying Veil in cold weather...

I got my can of Veil last week and hope to apply it before our Thanksgiving trip. However, I live in NH where it gets cold this time of year. Is there a minimum temperature at which Veil should be applied? If it's in the 40s/50s during the day and possibly sub-freezing overnight, is this a problem? Also, morning dew/frost is common this time of year. Will this cause a problem with freshly applied Veil?

I'm hoping to put it on this week, but they're predicting rain in the next couple days.

You could do the trick of applying it and using a hair dry to keep it a decent temperature. I heard veil guy tell this to someone else on the board...

Do not, I repeat do not, apply if there is going to be any, rain, sleet or snow w/in 48 hours of application. I havent tried the hairdryer trick myself tho but sounds worthy of a try if you have to!

yeah, i posted picture of whats left of the veil now. -->"veil coming off " its rather pitiful. one headlight that i did correctly and hair dryed heald up pretty good (and i even drove my car over to walgreens to get some more alcohol to wash off the brush right after i hair dryed it! not a good idea as i find out now...). it was on for about 36 hours before i got caught in the rain but parts are specking off. i live in wisconsin and have the same temperature problems you do. if your going to try to apply it, i'd try doing it during the day when its at least somewhat warm and using a hair dryer for more than 5 min per light (like 7-10 or do it multiple times), to make absolutely sure its dry! and then not drive the car (especially in rain/snow) for a day or 2. unfortunately, i'll have to do it and let it dry overnight becuase i'll have to use my car in the morning. maybe i'll do it over thanksgiving weekend when i'm off of school and wont have to drive anywhere for a day or 2 and use my parents car if i do. still waiting on the veil guys opinion hopefully as to what happend

We'd suggest you be careful applying Veil shortly before freezing temperatures are reached. As stated in the manual, we provide a recommended temp range.

If you are in a pinch, try a hair-dryer about 10 minutes after applying it, although we don't recommend this as an "approved" method, we believe it can help dramatically when time is tight.

Why dont ya apply it with the headlights on. They give off some heat and the highbeams should give off more.

I have 100watt high beams on my 81monte and they give off heat that you can feel from 5 feet away!

hrm... do any of your buds have a garage you can use? Like on a saturday or sunday, when you go over to watch basketball or football just park it in there garage and let it chill for a good 6 - 8 hours...heck, put it on then use the air dryer and let it hang out in a luke warm garage...
