...in order to reduce reflectivity on lighter colored helmets?
Have read that LEO are shooting helmets or body as they are a bigger target than headlight.
I do have an M27 - LJ on bike but want to eliminate as many target points as possible.

hmm. interesting idea. i don't see why not. but it'll probably make the helmet look like poo.
Search for axel_ny's posts. He applied Veil to his white and black helmet and posted pics. It looked quite nice. Not even noticeable. However, I don't think we ever quantified the benefit of it.
The helmet is metallic silver. From what I can gather, the Veil product turns things a smokey gray.
I've read some posts here about guys who apply with an air brush sprayer. I think I can get a very nice finish by pouring the product into a disposable sprayer that you can buy at Home D. It's called a Prevail sprayer and will hold about 6 oz of product. It sprays the product with a CO2 cartridge.
I've use it to apply gelcoat to small spots on the boat and it works well.
The alternative is to spring for matte black helmet and those are not cheap.
I'd be concerned about what it might do to the impact properties of the plastic of the helmet shell.
I wouldn't try !
If you have an accident, rule number one is DO NOT TAKE THE HELMET OFF - And a scanner is done WITH the helmet to see if everything is ok, before taking it off.
With VEIL, I'm pretty sure that the scanner couldn't be done.
Maybe you can explain to me if this is so funny why all the medics always say "Never paint you're helmet".
Why would painting be highly disadvised - And Veil not ?
As a thirty-six year paramedic, I feel qualified to say that it's because most medics are idiots with nothing but a few months of tech school for a scientific frame of reference.
Veil is not paint. Paint is not Veil. Why would painting be highly disadvised - And Veil not ?
And, of course, x-rays are not infrared.
