n00b member to the site here, but I posted up in the introductions section with, well, an introduction!
I've got a 2006 Monte Carlo SS that I just put a ZR4 in along with a hardwired 9500ix. The installer for the ZR4 did a really nice job from what I can tell, the front heads are perfectly flat, and are mounted so they just protrude a bit from their mount points in the front vents.
Anyhow, I've heard all sorts of good/bad about the ZR4, but know someone who's had great experiences with 'em, so it's what I went with.
After reading a lot here, it looks like Veil G4 is a damn fine idea to use with this particular jammer, as the few guns the ZR4 apparently has weaknesses for, the Veil G4 happens to do well against (the Stalker comes to mind from what I've read)
I just placed my order for some Veil G4, and I got two of those LaserShield covers for the front and rear license plates. I have a professional air brush w/compressor, and again, after reading a lot here it's how I intend to apply the Veil G4.
I think I'm good to go for now and awaiting it's arrival, but I'm certain I'll have some questions for you folks who know far more about this stuff than I do as I get into this. When I'm in process and finished I'll take pics along the way to share and make good notes to share as well about my success and/or failure.
One general question I have is about stealthiness. My car has a pretty low profile, and it's all black, very little chrome. I'm planning on Veiling the headlights and the fog lights in front, Veiling the LaserShields, and in back, I'm considering Veiling the tail lights, and am wondering if I should consider Veliing the Chevy "bowtie" too?
Here are a few pics off the web of front and rear. Any input on the inherent stealthiness of this vehicle or advice would certainly be appreciated and welcomed!
ETA: Guess I can't post any pics or links until I have 15 posts, so if you're not familiar with a 2006 MCSS, there are plenty of images avail on the web. I'm hoping someone who knows more than I about it can give me some input on the general stealthiness of the car itself...i.e., it's not white/metallic, doesn't have big flat front end, etc...
