Default How do I know my Veil is G4?

    Hey all,

Just got my Veil shipment today and I'm pretty excited to get started! The weather's a bit cool and may get damp, so I'm going to hold off for a bit...hard as it will be...to do the install.

However, I'm wondering how I can tell whether or not I got "G4"?

It doesn't appear to state it anywhere on any of the packaging.

I bought it from a stated "Authorized Veil Dealer" online who indicates that they're now shipping "G4".

    <REMOVED>

My concern is that the documentation on their website shows that a 1" nylon brush and a 1" edging brush are included (one looks like foam, one looks like bristles). There's an insert in the booklet which was included in the large can which also shows these two brushes included.

My package came with 3 different sized foam brushes, no bristle brushes included.

Did I get an old can with old Veil and not G4?

Hoping someone can confirm what I got, G4 or otherwise.

    Thanks for your help!

ETA: Called their customer service, spoke with a very nice and personable gal who indicated to me that she guarantees that it's G4, and the decision from Veil was to not relabel and clearly state that the product inside is now G4.

She wasn't able to explain the difference in the included brushes though, but indicated that they get new shipments from Veil all the time.

I just want to state for the record that I'm in no way, shape, or form trying to insinuate that anyone's being dishonest. Mistakes happen, changes happen, etc, but without clear labeling as to what "version" I got, I'm left wondering why I got a different array of brushes, when all the G4 ads I see indicate that it comes with the 2, one foam, one bristle. Perhaps this is what they used to come with? Perhaps they've made a very recent change to what's included with G4 versions?

I just don't know without specific labeling.

Maybe VeilGuy can weigh in on this? Can you confirm/deny what I've actually received is G4?

Again, any assistance would make me feel a lot better about this purchase. Thanks all.

If its a black viscous paint with three foam brushes and a manual, which is very hard to open, yeah you got the right stuff. They don't sell anything else anymore, ive looked.

    Perfect, thanks!

Yeah, I pulled the little jar of paint out of the bag and protective wrapping and noticed that I'll probably need a pipe wrench to get the lid off. This must be the right stuff!!

Thanks again, I'll make sure to get some pics as I get the Veil painted on and share the experience. I've got a good airbrush and compressor, so I think I'm going to use that to apply it, probably my best shot at getting it right the first time.

Any Veil that is shipping now IS the G4 version. The previous formulation of Veil came with what looked like a regular paint brush along with foam brushes. Rest assured, you've got the real deal!!!
