I need a bit of advice here, thanks in advance.
I applied veil twice: First time it got pretty cold during the night (about 40 - 45) so it cracked in a few places and then the spots got bigger and bigger. I thought fair enough, I shouldn't have done it in the cold so I took it off (aftershave works very well and the car smells nice afterwards kinda pricey though, used lots of water after) and I waited until the forecast was good. Funny thing is the fog lights were perfectly fine, looked better than the average I've seen in ppl's pics so I left them as they were. You could chip the veil at the edges if you tried hard but they are fine to this day.
The second time temperature was about 70 - 75 I applied it about 3pm and the car is in covered parking so no direct sunlight. For about 35 hours after that temperature didn't drop under 70 (65 the very lowest maybe) and the car didn't move at all. Then (this was midnight second day) it got fairly cold (bout 50) and it rained. Car was still under the cover so didn't rain on it. Sure enough the veil was cracked again, this time in a slightly different way, the spots are a lot more round, first time they were like cracks in glass.
Am I doing anything wrong? I applied the Veil with the brush only, definitely not too much of it and stopped as early as possible to stop smudging when it dries. Cleaned the lights loads before applying. Horizontal motion, top to bottom, the whole 9 yards. Only thing was it was a bit windy (10 - 15mph) and a few specks of dust got trapped in the veil but I really don't think this is the probpem. In case it matters the car is a 2000 Chrysler LHS, a lot like the Concorde.
Any tips are welcome since the car looks really bad now. Thanks.
