Default veil on a '02 Silver Jetta

    or

    (images shameless pulled from google.)

The 2nd image is the same basic model as my car (wheels/ ride height etc).

Wondering on opinions on laser protection if i apply veil to the headlights and get a shield for the front plate.

FWIW, my front plate is the 'newer' Ontario reflective design, but some of the reflection has come off.... The plate was on my old car, and well the turbo nozzle on an industrial powerwasher kinda wrecked the finish. The plate graphics/lettering on the ontario plates is actually a sticker/decal, not paint like the old old ones.

I want to avoid getting a vinyl black bra if possible...

    Thanks,
    SG

-looking for a STI., selling my v1 on ebay, it's served me well....

    ontario requires front plates?

-if not take it off, if not laser shield if its legal

    -veil headlights

    -jammer- closer to headlights

-i would get a bra since your car is silver

-mount Sti high to maximize radar detection

    -drive safe!

I would have to strongly disagree removing youe license plate. A veiled plate cover, on a licence plate will provide a metalic silver more protection then no plate.

GOL tests, by adding my plate with the veil'd plate cover to my silver cavi, it dropped my readings by 200 feet.

Without a plate, the gun is hitting the silver, which is very easy to target. With a veiled plate cover, it will provide you with more protection then that silver.

If you are looking to add a jammer to that car, I would say blinder would suite you very well if you couple it with VEiL

No jammer... likely veil, lasershield and hopefully a STI driver.... Can the Spectre pickup the Blinder?

.....Did you guys do tests with a black vinyl bra?

He's in an area where detectors are illegal, which is why he wants the STI

Leave the front plate on, buy a license plate cover- veil both sides along with your headlights and you have some mighty fine protection against laser

I have a new sti and yes it is a nice detector but it isn't up to par with the v1! I suggest you sell your old v1 and get a new version, they are even better!
