Default Veil application directly to plate

I know it's not recommended but i was searching the laws for license plates and i was directed to this site: http://www.ncsl.org/programs/transpo...ranrev2.htm#ny
Plates must not be covered by glass or any plastic material or obstructed in any other way (MV). Prohibited (LE).
So it looks like I will not be able to put a plate cover on :x . So are there any problems associated with applying VEIL directly to plates?

I will check cause i don't wanna draw any unwanted attention, I'm going to put it on and see how noticeable it is and then decided from there but i just want to make sure i can apply it to the plate

I'm pretty sure they won't pull you over for the plate cover...I think it's just one of those nice little add-ons to toss in while a cop is writing you a ticket.

When the law first took affect her in Tx they were nabbing people just for that reason. Now that the hype is down I would agree with Failedsenses. Unless the cop is bored or has nothing better to do I dont know if I would worry about it to much. I saw on another thread....would you rather have 4 tickets for altering the plate for $55 (dont know how much in your state) or have 4 speeding tickets at $100+ and on top of the speeding tickets insurance rates go up.

In Michigan the plate covers aren't technically legal either. I see them on cars all the time though, even the "smoked" variety. I've been driving with a regular clear plate cover for maybe 8 months no, no probs so far. The next nice day, it's getting a coat of VEIL too...
