If you live or are visiting The Cape Coral/ Fort Myers area:
If you are taking the Midpoint Bridge INTO Cape Coral, ALWAYS slow down a good 1/2 mile before the toll booths (toll booths are AFTER the bridge). The speed limit goes from 55 to 45...then shoots down to 25 without much warning. FHP, CCP and Lee County Sheriff's Deputies likes to organize traps right as the two lane highway opens up to all the lanes for the toll booth.
ALSO, even when there isn't a trap, individual LEOs will sometimes be standing amongst all the tollbooth employees clocking cars as they are coming in. At a distance, they are very hard to distinguish from all the other people milling around the tollbooth lanes.
For those unfamiliar: the Midpoint Bridge would be the bridge you take when coming from Colonial Blvd in Fort Myers, which is a direct exit off of I-75.
