The link shows a scan of a pamphlet I got in a Va driver improvement class. The areas shown is where the state of Va has instituted a 10 times pay on fines. The fines range from $200 to $500. DO THE MATH! That is $2,000 to $5,000 for a speeding ticket. Its more if you are going 80 MPH or more. Then you get the reckelss driving charge. They call these areas "Highway Safety Corridors". I call them a cash cow for the state of Va.
Also if you live in Prince William or Fairfax County, if you are doing 60 MPH on a road posted with 45 MPH, you get a reckelss driving. That is just 15 MPH over. If you dont believe me, try it and find out.
Welcome to the people's republic of Virginia!
