UPDATE FOR CYPRUS
-------------------------
CYPRUS:
----------
CYPRUS POLICE:
Mobile Laser: LTI 20-20 UltraLyte 100
Mobile Radar: Multaradar C and Multanova 6F
Fixed Cameras: Robot Traffiphot S on motorways and Traffiphot III SR at road junctions
SBA Police(Sovereign Base Areas Cyprus):
Mobile Laser: KUSTOM PROLASER II
Mobile Radar: Patrol Vehicle with VASCAR(using very rarely now)
Hi there,
A few updates for all of you guys:
SLOVAKIA:
Radar used is RAMER-7 (made in the Czech rep.)
Ka-band: 34.00GHz,
Ka-band: 34.30GHz
Usually built in cars, mainly Skoda Fabia, Skoda Felicia, VW Passat, VW Golf, Audi S4 - used either as stationary or mobile. Tripods are rarely used.
As radars used by the police have a very low output power they are only reliably detectable by:
- Beltronics 945, 965, 995, 975 - ONLY with special firmware (Ka narrow)
- Target 550
- Valentine one set to Euro mode
There is only one fixed speed trap in the county that I'm aware of fitted with a Ramer-7 radar 34.00GHz. It's on the 108km of the D1 highway ( www.highways.sk/indexE.html )
Currently there is no laser neither VASCAR in operation
Use of radar detectors is legal
Update for ireland:
Using the Ultralyte 1000 now
As far as I know there are speedtraps in Hungary:

In Croatia RadarDetectors are legal, Laser Jammers are ilegal.
Croatian Vascars with license plates:
http://speed.g-zona.hr/Presretaci.htm
crni=black
srebrni, srebrna=silver
tamnoplavi=dark blue
tamnosiva= dark grey
bijela=white
plava=blue
For example:
ZG-5319-FR (crni) = License plate: ZG-5319-FR (ZG=Zagreb), black BMW 330d, engine: 2993 ccm, Power: 204 HP, Acc: 0-100 km/h: 7,2 s, Max speed: 242 km/h
Update for:
POLAND:
Ka-band 34.30GHz (Ramer 7; http://www.rametchm.cz/index.php?typ=RMA&showid=4&fla=1)
K-band (constant on and instatnt on; Zurad http://www.zurad.com.pl/)
X-band (probably instant on only)
not confirmed - VASCAR and Laser
if you ever drive to Poland you might find this nice map useful

(all information presented before by x2005 and snail remain valid as well)

Ramer 7/7M, AD9 and Multanova are detected by 9500i, RX65, V995 or V965 from 200-400m even without "Ka narrow" - tested by myself. Narrow Ka is a little bit overestimated by Bel's Czech Dealer (smart marketing). Modern RDs have really fast processors yet.
Not really true (speaking now about Ramer7 or AD9 since this is what they use here in SK and CZ).. this is not about marketing but Bel965/995 US versions simply work much much worse that those with Ka Narrow band soft (Ka EUR=special fw that scans 34.0GHz & 34.3GHz!!) especially in "critical" situations, against the 34.00GHz radars, areas without good signal reflections or when measuring vehicles as going away (i.e. when the radar head is pointed in the direction of your travel so that the back of your cars if photographed)Originally Posted by €
Guys from the Czech rep (fans like myself) have made some videos comparing 965/995CZ(=Ka EUR) vs. US(=Ka superwide) http://ar.kalenda.eu/ ..have a look yourself. Measuring approaching traffic is sometimes satisfactory although as you will notice the range is much lower than with the CZ version but measuring receding vehicles is a total disaster for the US version..
Or have a look at this map (again from the same guys but different place) - V1 EURO ON, OFF, 965CZ and RX65 http://galerie.autorevue.cz/data/500...65_v1_rx_b.JPG .. or this one here (from some other guy) http://galerie.autorevue.cz/data/500/mapgen1.JPG Both maps show both approaching and receding measurements
As for processors - this we have heard here number of times in the past especially from people importing US detectors and trying to sell them here.. as shown above this is a myth.. sensitivity is not only about the processor.. and the CZ versions have the exact same processor so this is clearly not a factor. Anyway if you still don’t trust me let me know when you are in Bratislava take the US version with you and we can go and make a small test 8) but be careful on your way here with Bel965/995 Ka superwide :wink:
Anyway thx for the update much appreciated!! I didn’t know you also had 34.00GHz Ramers or AD9s. also when I mentioned vascar i meant those video radars. Btw radar detectors are illegal in Poland as far as I know - can you pls advise if this is true?
