Today I was listining to my scanner and the Missouri State Highway Patrol said they tried to run laser through a fence and it would not work.

Yes it was! He said he tried one day to get vehicles speeds through a fence and it would not obtain a speed. He said he could just shoot down behind cars but by that time they are pretty far off.

No kidding. I think the Pro Laser III manual says that it can not pass solid objects like signs while tracking the car.Can't they read the users manual guys?
