I was born in Maine, but am now living in exile in Taxachusetts. However i still have a summer place to which I go almost every weekend in the summer.
My x50 was giving many, continued laser falses so I shut laser off until I got my new V1 which came in time for the trip up for the 4th.
On my last trip up their were three LEO's in the median along the Maine Pike with the first just over the line after the Piscataqua Bridge. My x50 did not alert so I assumed there were using laser. I was only doing 75 which is within the 10 over so no prob.
This time there was another in the median but further up near Exit 4 (I forget the foolish new mile marker exit number)(Biddeford) with three chase cars further up with victims pulled over.
The problem is that this time my V1 didn't alert either. I think I crested the hill before his stake out more than 1500 feet away (maybe more), so the cone of the laser should have been 5 feet. I have my V1 mounted low so the sensor should have been within the cone. I might have been doing 80 but I had a visual on him (as I know where U-turn crossovers are and watch for stuff in them) so I slowed down.
Any ideas why the V1 didn't alert. Was he just taking a break since all his chase cars were busy?
Pm another subject what's with those blue laser lights at the NH and ME toll booths. Are they recording the speeds (and photoing license plates) going through the Transpass/E-Pass lanes?
