I have been all the northern part of dallas. Most Woodall Rogers up as far as 380 and I have never encountered X band. At that I barley get any K band except for Garland, and Dallas.

No, never. Only when I went to Ohio did I activate and oh my that was a mess. Anytime I came through a construction zone it was just screaming x band but I didn't know if it was an officer or not cause I don't know the state.

But before I had a good detector I ran all bands. Didn't have a choice. I never encountered an officer running x band. Not to say they are not out there but I have never come into contact with one.

I don't live near Fort Worth so I am not quite sure. But, it's annoying with it on. Those x band things are on stores, at intersections, road signs, who knows what else. I just put the x-50 on highway mode all the time and no problems.

Turning off bands in my opinion is a very bad idea. I happen to know that X band is very much still being used in my Area and this one city a few miles down the road still uses X band like mad.
