I just received a ticket for driving 51 mph in a 35 mph zone in Rochester, NY. The cop was coming toward me, driving downhill and behind another car on a two lane road. On the ticket he listed that the charges are based on “direct observation” and verified by “radar” with the radar model being a Stalker Dual.
A friend of mind told me that if you where ever stopped with the reason being radar to always ask to see the actual reading on the radar unit. He said sometimes the cop will clear it out and no longer has the actual reading as proof. When I asked to see the radar read out the cop said that he had no obligation to show me the read out and would not do it. Has anyone had experience with this type of issue?
