Road Trip

what to expect in ways of LEOs? it's been almost 2 years since makin the trip and wonder what to expect now.

Just be careful around D.C and VA they don't allow RD's. Unless you have an STI ofcourse. Anyway, just watch your rear view instantly and watch out for I/O radar. Use rabbits when you get a chance. I did this trip a month ago. Good Luck.

NJ - laser, X, K, Ka as u know....Dullaware - Ka laser, maryland same i think? Va Ka and laser....idk about NC

NC- X, K, Ka and Laser.

Raleigh PD and Wake Forest PD run with Ka35.5

NCSHP - X, K (rare), Ka(35.5), ProLaser III

Wake County SO - I have seen X, K and Ka

thanks thus far for the heads-up everyone. i had no idea X was used in NC; since i know i wont be disabling any bands on my 9500i.

Becareful as mentioned before coming thru VA. They use it all here x,k,ka and laser here and there. I would be more specific but I would be give too much info and don't want my true identity to come out lol.

well this isnt my first trip goin to Raleigh (went to school down there for 4.5 years) but this is my 1st trip with a radar detector. that's why i was asking cause not familiar with what's used. but i do know VA is pretty hardcore when it comes to their speed enforcement.

Yeah X band is used mostly by small towns.

NCSHP is still using their fair share of it too...and they are usually deadly with it when using it instant-on!
